WHY NETWORK?
Headed and founded by former NCAA and NHL standout and current Washington Capitals NHL analyst Craig Laughlin, Network Hockey provides the most comprehensive professional training and guidance available for all facets of a player's game.
Laughlin, a Toronto native, graduated from Clarkson University in 1980 with a bachelors degree in business and was a standout Division I hockey player. He went on to play 10 years of professional hockey with over 500 NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals, LA Kings, and Toronto Maple Leafs. After his NHL retirement, Craig has spent the last 20+ years involved in various aspects of the game of hockey, including a 4 year tenure with the ECHL Richmond Renegades where he served as General Manager and brought the team to a league championship. He has been involved with the Washington Capitals organization and community for over 30 years, and currently is the lead TV color Analyst for the Caps on Comcast SportsNet, a position he has had for the past 24 years.
He has owned and operated many successful hockey schools and camps in the Washington area, most recently with Network Hockey Development Program. Founded in 2001, Craig developed NHDP to provide young, aspiring athletes the tools necessary to be successful on and off the ice. By focusing on complete development and a unique combination of hockey skills, mental toughness, sportsmanship, and life skills development, NHDP wants to help players achieve greater success.
A highly personal and personalized program, NHDP offers the hockey player all the tools for success, including, but not limited to: intense on and off ice training regiments, career guidence, sports psychology, nutritional guidance, life skills, and leadership workshops.

For over a decade, Network Hockey Development Program (NHDP) has been THE premier development program in the DMV for serious hockey players. ​
NHDP prides itself in offering only the highest level of professionalism and offers a diverse staff of professionals in every field. Quite simply, there is no other program like NHDP anywhere else. Not only do we offer the highest level of professional and creative on-ice training, but we also develop other aspects of players’ games. Through various off-ice seminars and our exclusive mentor program, athletes enrolled will receive a great deal of character building and leadership training. Our athletes will have an opportunity to skate with and learn from only the best.
With the combination of highly personalized on and off ice workouts, and the off-ice character and leadership building, NHDP offers a unique formula for developing the most serious hockey players and tapping into their fullest potential. Craig Laughlin's NHDP is often copied but never equaled.

PERFORMANCE INSTRUCTORS
An NHL Veteran, Craig has been lead analyst for the NHL Washington Capitals televised games on Comcast MidAtlantic for over 25 years. An NCAA Division I All-Star, Canadian Junior A All-Star, and NHL stand out, Craig has devoted his entire life to the game of hockey. With nearly 40 years of professional experience teaching and coaching the game of hockey, Craig’s unique hockey background makes him an expert in the field of hockey and player development.
Co-Founder and Vice President of Network Hockey. Linda works to provide players with Career Guidance to help them with developing and executing long and short term plans for college. She has over 20 years experience helping players and their families understand and navigate the Road to College and, in helping them secure college hockey opportunities. Well versed in NCAA regulations, Linda provides NH participants with Academic Guidance as well as the essential Life Skills necessary for success.
Tony is a former Professional Coach and player. A DeMatha faculty member, Tony has been head coach of the DeMatha Stags Varsity Prep Team for over 13 years and was 2015 MHSL Coach of the Year.
Former NHL Defenseman, Dean is an NHDP senior instructor. As the program’s Defensive coordinator, he teaches our defensemen the latest techniques and strategies.
NHL Veteran Goaltender, Brent Johnson leads the Goaltending Group for Network Hockey.
Courtney is a former NCAA Div III player and Captain for SUNY Potsdam . Courtney was Asst. NCAA Coach for 2 years for the Bears, and served as head coach of the DeMatha Varsity II Boys team. She holds a Masters Degree from Georgetown in Sports Management, and has participated as a guest coach at the Washington Capital NHL Rookie Camp. Courtney currently can be seen on Comcast Mid-Atlantic and Monumental Sports Network as a Hockey Analyst for the Washington Capitals games.
Marsha Perry is a renowned skating instructor with over 50 years of experience in the power skating field. Marsha has proven success both at the amateur and professional ranks, having helped many Washington Capitals & other NHL players in their career with their stride, power, efficiency and technique. We are very proud to have her on our staff this summer, and our skaters will benefit immensely.
Josh is a former Jr A player and is a Professional NCAA Div I and ECHL Referee. He is a skating expert, and serves as our stride enhancement coach as well as our professional video coach.
Bob is a USA Hockey and Canadian Level 5 certified Instructor with extensive coaching experience in the Boston HS system, as well serving as Asst. coach at St Albans HS. Bob bring over 30 years of coaching experience and expertise in player development to Network Hockey.
Dan recently completed his 12th season as the head coach of St. Albans School and has over 20 years of coaching experience at all levels of youth hockey. Dan earned Mid-Atlantic Prep Hockey League Coach of the Year honors in 2010 and 2016 as well as the first-ever Montgomery Youth Hockey Association Travel Coach of the Year award in 2012.
